Link to introductory offerColdwells is a 200 acre organic family-run mixed farm with a herd of 30 Aberdeen Angus suckler cows and 75 Shetland x cheviot sheep, situated at Largie near Insch.

Our aim is to provide top-quality organically reared beef for the local market with the least cost to the environment.

Beef at Coldwells is therefore:

  • Farmed, and certified as organically reared at Coldwells Organic farm (licence no. SG4581)
  • Killed at ScotBeef, Inverurie, our local abattoir. The carcass is hung traditionally for three/four weeks before butchering to give maximum flavour and texture.
  • Butchered at a local butchers shop (Forbes Raeburn of Huntly Winner of Best Butcher of the Year in Scotland 2013). Sausages and burgers are made with organic spices and no colouring or preservatives.
  • Supplied fresh, vacuum packed in chilled boxes ready for your freezer.
